Hero has a decent opening day. According to early estimates Hero first day box office collection will be around 6-6.20 crore.

Sooraj Pancholi starrer was released in around 1800 screens. The film had a decent start in the morning shows. The occupancy was around 30-35%. As the day progressed, the film showed some growth in the noon and evening shows.

Th Salman Khan factor and hit music has helped the film. It fared best in Mumbai, Gujarat and Rajasthan but surprisingly it did not open well in East Punjab and Delhi.

Hero first day collection will be 13th highest opening day of 2015. The film has surpassed Piku, Bombay Velvet and Hamari Adhuri Kahani opening day.

Despite the fact that it features newcomers, Hero collection on 1st day is decent. Last year Tiger Shroff’s debut film Heropanti collected around 6.50 crore on its opening day.

The film has received mostly negative reviews while the word of mouth seems to be mixed. It will be interesting to see how it performs on Saturday and Sunday.
